On Monday this week I taught for the first time in the beautiful surroundings of the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham.
The room we used was not large so it was a select group of four students and we removed some of the paintings from the walls before we started - just in case!
We made Catalonian tension trays. It's a really good project for a class because the basic process is straightforward, great fun and very addictive, and there are lots of possibilities for finishing the tray. On Monday one student added a huge flamboyant handle and another used the tray as the base of a basket with flared sides and a handle.
